charlie's first- she got a baby purse from her sisters, a doll from mom and dad, a flower chew toy from auntie liza and a book/puppet from mckay and london. it has gone by too fast. she's still just as easy as the day she was born (at least when mom or dad is around!)
there's a dessert called a charlotte- molded mousse with lady fingers around the edge. so of course i made her a tiny version of a charlotte russe- lady fingers with whipped vanilla custard and raspberry sauce. thank you joy of cooking. you bring such joy into my life.
she loved it.

Happy birthday, beautiful girl! What a yummy looking dessert!
She is so darling! Happy Birthday little Charley! Is there an "Emily" dessert?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And, thanks for the new post. I miss reading about your life. Although, I just get on and read the stuff I have already read when Im missing ya.
happy birthday charlie!! well, your picture makes it look really good even if i'm not a ladyfinger fan. i'd give it a whirl.
thanks chicklegirl
hmm..., i don't know of an "emily" dessert
sorry brit, i've been in a rough patch lately and just don't feel like posting that kind of stuff. the world of the blog seems almost like a fantasy world where only good things happen. weird.
yes, pepper ann, you'd love it, ladyfingers and all. the ladyfingers get sort of soggy in a tres leches goodness kind of way. it's tasty.
