we went to the lavender festival in the san juan islands about a week ago
it was gorgeous
an added bonus... eliza had emma and roxy
so baby choo choo got some special attention
my mother-in-law planned the whole thing
we had a delicious picnic dinner all cooked with lavender
the chocolate lavender ice cream was delicious!

hey g. i miss you like mad too. i've been wishing i could escape my insane life and come for a visit. i'll put it on my wish list but with two weddings this year (my sister laura, aaron's sister melinda), i'm not sure it's going to make it. plus my walkie talkie got left in an inn in san juan. darn...
oh YUM. did it smell like lavender just being there? lavender chocolate ice cream sounds awesome. are you gonna try making some? because if you do i get first dibs on it!
random ramblings in my head: you make beautiful quilts, lyd. i cant believe laura is getting married...(does she go by lori?) how old is she now? i remember melinda, she's cool. at least i have fond memories frolicking around in shiny 50's dresses... i wish you could come for an escape, too. i really miss you. don't you think kaede has richard simmon's hair? should i be worried? :) mina rakastan sinua.
pepper ann. yes, the lavender smell was everywhere- it was cool. no plans on making the ice cream anytime soon but if i do, i'll let you know.
g. embarassing news- i have kaede's quilt all ready to go- bought the fabric as soon as you found out it was a boy. the problem is i never actually quilt until the day of the baby shower. i really live my life these days on an as needed basis so now that i've revealed my procrastination, i'll get right on it. yes, laura goes by lori with friends and family. i'm really the only one that calls her laura and it makes me feel distant so i'm trying to do the switch over but it still feels weird just calling her lori just because everyone else does. maybe i'll come with a new name for her instead. kaede's definately got the same amount of hair as richard simmons but not in a scary frizzy way. mina rakastan sinua tambien.
