we are gamers- i know it's a little nerdy but true. we love to get together with fellow gamers and as ace would say "get our game on." sunday night, we hooked up with some fellow gamers (the allison clan) and settled into a game of munchkin impossible after a nice steak dinner. it was fun (and not just because i won!) then we played bang followed by ticket to ride (which i also won!- i'm not really that competitive but i don't usually win either so i'll brag a bit, thanks). i come from a settlers family so my favorite was ticket to ride- it's a conquest game that doesn't require tons of brain power - which was good because it was pretty late by this point. stay tuned for more gaming updates!

I'm a total game nerd, too. I have so many favorites: Ohne furcht und adel (a German strategy game), Apples to Apples, Scrabble... in fact, Jim is even more of a game nerd than me (because he's into electronic games) and games played an important part in our courtship. He taught me to play poker on our first date. And then...
My step-mom once told me that she would only marry a man who could beat her at Scrabble. So I decided that had to be part of my litmus test, too. Sure enough, on our second date, Jim beat me at Scrabble. Ah, true love.
